The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a UK government initiative designed to encourage homeowners to move away from traditional gas or oil heating and switch to cleaner, low-carbon heating systems.
Running until April 2028, the scheme offers generous upfront grants to help cover the cost of installing renewable heating technologies such as air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, and biomass boilers.
  • Through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, you could receive:
    • £7,500 towards an air source heat pump
    • £7,500 towards a ground source heat pump
    • £5,000 towards a biomass boiler (in eligible rural properties)
