Internal Wall Insulation (IWI)

Older homes, especially those built before the 1920s, often have solid walls that let heat escape far more quickly than modern cavity walls. Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) involves fitting a layer of insulation to the inside walls of your home, finished with plasterboard for a neat, ready-to-decorate surface.

How it works

We install insulation boards or a stud framework with insulation inside, then finish with plasterboard and skim for a smooth finish. We take care to preserve important features like windowsills, sockets and radiators.

Without proper insulation, up to 25% of your home’s heat escapes through the roof. Loft insulation is one of the quickest, most cost-effective ways to save energy.

How it works

We lay mineral wool or similar insulation material across the floor of your loft (or between rafters for some setups). Depth is key — we typically install to the recommended 270mm+ to meet current standards.
